What's happening

Revolut has begun a phased rollout of its euro-backed stablecoin, EURR, to eligible customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal, with wider availability across the EEA expected later this year. EURR is issued by payments infrastructure provider Bridge (owned by Stripe) and is designed to maintain a value of €1, usable across Revolut's crypto services, external wallets and blockchain rails. Regulatory documents and Bridge's reserve dashboard show only 374 EURR tokens and EUR 374 in cash reserves at launch. Revolut says the token supports fiat-to-stablecoin conversions and instant payments.

Why it's trending

Because stablecoins are moving into mainstream euro payments while MiCA's rollout and market entries (including non-European players) are reshaping who controls euro-denominated tokens.

Angles you could write

contrarian take

Launching EURR with just 374 tokens in reserve looks less like a market debut and more like a cautious experiment, and that might be smart play by Revolut and Bridge right now.
