At Meta Connect 2026 Mark Zuckerberg unveiled Muse, an AI agent that now runs on Mac and can access and act on your files and apps including Messages, Calendar, and Notes. Meta admits Muse was "heavily inspired" by OpenClaw, sharing some workspace filenames and content, though it says the assistant was built from scratch. Muse is already outpacing ChatGPT's early mobile launch in U.S. and Canada downloads and daily active users, and Meta teased dedicated Muse hardware: a Tamagotchi-like wearable named Muse Charm that can act as a mobile home for the agent and will recognize and interact with other nearby Charms when it ships later this year.
