Google’s AI Mode now lets you link and interact with select apps

Google is expanding AI Mode so Gemini can not only answer questions but also complete tasks inside select apps. The update ties Gemini into apps like Waze, where two of four new Waze features are described as involving Gemini, and into other Google products including Chrome, Search, Maps, Gmail and Docs according to reports. TechCrunch says the change moves AI Mode from Q&A into task completion across apps, while Waze specifically will use Gemini to personalize trips and update its conversation reporting feature.
